Personal information is collected when:
- Purchasing tickets via telephone, online, or in person at the Box Office.
- Requesting marketing materials or joining our email mailing list.
We will always inform you when collecting your personal details, explain why it is being collected, and how it will be used.
2. Information Collected and Its Purpose
When you purchase tickets or make a booking, we may collect:
- Name, address, telephone number, and credit card details (if applicable).
- For children attending workshops, parent/guardian-provided details such as date of birth, emergency contacts, allergies, or medical conditions. These details are securely destroyed at the end of the session or term.
This information is used to:
- Process payments and trace bookings.
- Notify you of program changes or cancellations.
- Ensure the safety of children during workshops.
Note: Credit card details are not stored and are responsibly destroyed after the transaction.
3. Use of Personal Information
- Burrinja does not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties.
- You may opt-in to receive marketing materials or consent to share your details with event promoters. Promoters must provide written assurances that your information will only be used for specified purposes and protected under privacy standards.
- Occasionally, Burrinja may inform you of special offers from sponsors, but these communications will always come directly from Burrinja.

As a registered charity, Burrinja is exempt from the SPAM Act 2003 for messages related to its goods or services. However, you can unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time via the unsubscribe link in emails or by contacting Burrinja directly.
