Burrinja stands as the beating heart of the creative community in the Dandenong Ranges.
Getting to Burrinja
Located in the Dandenong Ranges township of Upwey, Burrinja is approximately 50 minutes drive from Melbourne City, and is easily accessed via Burwood Highway.
The closet public transport is by train on the Belgrave line, with both Tecoma and Upwey stations a 15-20 minutes walk.
US Bus Lines operate Route 699 from Belgrave to Upwey.
The timetable runs throughout the day Monday to Friday, and Saturday mornings. Contact US Bus Lines for details on 9752 1444.
Parking
Free parking is available in the Burrinja Car Park, located off Matson Drive.
For larger events, we encourage visitors to consider carpooling where possible to help ease congestion and reduce environmental impact. We also kindly ask that you respect our neighbours when parking and departing the venue.
Burrinja and Yarra Ranges Council have added new 'overflow' parking spaces on Matson Drive for our patrons. Please utilise the available on-site main car parks first. If using the overflow Matson Drive parking, please take the time to park 'reverse to curb'. This will make exiting during the busy 'after show' period much easier for you and for everyone.
Satiate Café at Burrinja
From light bites to hearty mains, Satiate’s menu has something for everyone.
Indulge in house-made muffins, slices, scones, cakes, and other sweet treats. Freshly baked by Michelle with love and a touch of nostalgia for those moments of sharing a cuppa and cake with loved ones. Follow Satiate on Facebook

Foyer Bar
A foyer bar will be available to patrons when attending shows in the theatre.
Access for Everyone
Burrinja is user friendly for people of all abilities, with accessible parking and elevator access to the Burrinja Theatre, Lyre Room, upstairs gallery and lower level car park.
Burrinja Theatre has wheelchair allocated seating available on request. A Hearing Loop, which covers 90% of the Theatre, works in conjunction with hearing aids with the appropriate switch setting.
Guide dogs are welcome at Burrinja.
Companion & Carer Cards
For Burrinja presented shows we offer a second ticket at no cost to Companion Card holders and concession tickets to Carer Card holders.
Companion card bookings are not available online. Proof of concession must be presented at the venue.
